Giorgia Borg, Another Maltese Vocal Powerhouse, To Face Britain’s Got Talent Judges Tonight

Our tiny Mediterranean island has been churning out stars very regularly over the last year. Following the explosive debuts of starlets like Gaia and Emma Muscat on renowned foreign talent shows, one young Maltese girl is kicking off the island’s presence on the international stage for 2019 in style.
Earlier this year, 11-year-old Giorgia Borg confirmed that she’d be the third Maltese singer to ever make it to Britain’s Got Talent auditions
Borg’s appearance on BGT follows JESC 2015 winner Destiny and last year’s Amy Marie Borg, two extremely talented young singers who had both made it to the show’s live semi-final shows.
BGT’s Instagram account uploaded a set of photos from their London talent scouting, praising the large number of “incredible auditions” they got. Soon enough, Giorgia’s awesome secret just had to be shared.
“The big news is out,” Giorgia told her friends and fans on Facebook this morning. “I’m so excited!’
Giorgia is the fifth singer featured in this BGT Instagram upload

The 13th season of Britain’s Got Talent kicked off at the start of April, and Giorgia’s audition will be aired tonight on ITV at 9pm!
Following her audition, Giorgia will find out if she’s going straight to the love semi-finals, will stick out through the competition phase, or will be returning home to Malta. But regardless the outcome, she definitely has a bright future ahead of her.
Giorgia is certainly no stranger to the stage
Last year, she came third in the Malta Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song 10, delivering a belting performance that had impressed many people back at home.
Born in 2008 (yes, she’s that young!), Borg has managed to win a number of awards, including first place at the Italian Una Stella Sta Nascendo 2015 for best junior talent and first place at the 2017 Sanremo Junior.
