Pop singer Rita Ora and internationally-renowned DJ Martin Garrix will headline a huge new festival in Malta this summer. 

The Summer Daze festival will take place on the 14th August at the Ta’ Qali Family Park and the following day at Cafe del Mar in Bugibba. The Malta Tourism Authroity, which is organising the festival in collaborating with BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage and Creamfields, estimates it will attract around 15,000 tourists.

Rita Ora has already performed in Malta before, at the 2013 Isle of MTV concert, but her stock has risen considerably since then and her two latest singles ‘Anywhere’ and ‘Your Song’ both hit the UK top-ten last year. 

Martin Garrix, renowned for tracks such as  ‘In The Name Of Love’ and ‘Scared To Be Lonely’, also performed in Malta at the 2015 Isle of MTV.

Other artists will be announced in due course. 

Tickets will be available from summerdazemalta.com as of Thursday.
