Gypsy Punk Legends Gogol Bordello To Perform Fundraising Concert For Ukraine In Malta

Gypsy punk legends Gogol Bordello is set to perform a fundraising concert for Ukraine in Malta as part of their 2023 Solidaritine European tour.
The show will take place at the Aria Complex on 20th June 2023.
Gogol Bordello, led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, has gained global recognition since 1999 for their energetic performances and unique sound.

Their latest album, Solidaritine, showcases the band’s hardcore roots while collaborating with legends like Rick Rubin and Steve Albini.
The ongoing war in Ukraine holds personal significance for Hütz and the band, who have been avid advocates for Ukrainian solidarity. They have partnered with organisations like Nova Ukraine and ArtDopomoga to support the cause.
The concert will feature local alt-rock band Brikkuni as the opening act, who were heavily influenced by Gogol Bordello in the early years of their career. They promise to perform a set including tracks from their first albums.
Nova Ukraine, a registered non-profit organisation, focuses on providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine and raising awareness about the country’s struggles.
The organization supports Ukraine in building a strong nation with an empowered civil society by providing essential aid, resources for cultural growth, and fostering resilience, hope, and self-sufficiency.
All proceeds raised from the concert will be donated to Nova Ukraine to support their initiatives.
