The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer which means it’s the perfect time of the year to whip out those mellow, dark and melancholic tunes to go with the weather.

It also means that this may be the last time you’ll be hearing from some of your favourite local musicians until next year, so make most of these tunes for now and embrace what’s about to come because, from what we’ve heard so, far 2020 is going to be a big one.

1. Where It’s ATT – No More Chances

Continuing their journey into the world of pop-infused G-House, Where It’s ATT have released their latest venture ‘No More Chances’ which they have now revealed is the second installment of a three-track project aimed towards a more mainstream audience.

The track carries a more accessible vibe but once again is deeply rooted in their G-house beginnings. The track has gained support from local stations 89.7 Bay, featuring on Malta’s Top 10, as well as XFM and DJcity.

Check it out below.

2. Michela Agius – Back To The River

Up-and-coming female artist Michela Agius has just released a new single ‘Back To The River’, a mellow and laid back pop track featuring a powerful Michela accompanied by spacey instrumentals.

In addition to displaying a high level of musicianship in her latest track, Michela has also gone the extra mile and has decided to donate all proceeds from ‘Back To The River’ to Jays of Sunshine – a charity dedicated to helping children undergoing treatment in the Rainbow Ward of Mater Dei Hospital – more of a reason for you to check out and purchase this great track.

3. Shlamizard – SBOND

Instrumental post/stoner rock group Shlamizard has released a new single ‘SBOND’ ahead of their performance at Nebular Festival later this month.

The track is every bit psychedelic and stoner as the genre can get and is accompanied by a funky music video featuring snippets from what seems like a retro Bollywood film.

4. Align The Tide – Blacklist

Not a new track per se, but anything Align The Tide release is worth writing about. The new music video for Blacklist (off their latest album Dead Religion) is totally NSFW and borderline about to be banned from YouTube… which is why it’s so perfect for the notorious metalcore piece.

Without spoiling anything, the music video features all four band members in a tight situation and well it doesn’t end well for any of them…
