The full post:
I have decided to step out of Red Electrick for personal reasons and will be pursuing another musical path. I would like to wish my mates the best and all the success they deserve! The countless shows, fully energised and singing my heart out with Red Electrick as we entertained beautiful people, will be memories imprinted in my heart and mind forever!
And for this and all of you who supported us during these years, I am humbly grateful. I am also very pleased to know that Joe Roscoe has accepted to join Red Electrick to continue where I left off; couldn’t have been a better choice!! As for 2018, I will continue doing that which is a vital part of my life; writing and sharing my music. Looking forward to letting you in on my projects, starting next week! Love and respect, Matt.
The news was met with shock by long-time fans, but many are also excited to see the what the future holds for both the band, and Matthew as an artist.
The band has also issued an official statement, wishing Matthew all the best while being excited for what the future holds for their new dynamic.
