The nominees for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards have been officially announced, with the ceremony scheduled for Sunday 1st February 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

This year’s nominations highlight a mix of established stars and rising talent, while also introducing several notable changes to the awards.

The Recording Academy has added two new categories: Best Traditional Country Album and Best Album Cover. In addition, the existing Best Country Album category has been renamed Best Contemporary Country Album. Eligibility rules have also been updated, allowing artists who contributed smaller portions to nominated albums to qualify for Best New Artist. For the first time, nominee ballots are presented in randomised order rather than alphabetically.

Among the headline nominees, Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with nine nominations. Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut follow with seven nominations each. Exciting newcomers such as Olivia Dean, The Marias, Katseye, and Lola Young are featured in the Best New Artist category, showcasing a fresh wave of talent alongside established stars.

The nominations reflect a diverse lineup of music from around the world, spanning multiple genres and highlighting both mainstream hits and boundary-pushing works. The eligibility period for the awards runs from 31st August 2024 to 30th August 2025, and the final voting round will take place between 12th December and 5th January 2026.

With months to debate favourites and anticipate winners, fans can start speculating who will take home the coveted Grammy trophies. The 2026 Grammys promise to celebrate both the big names that dominate charts and the rising artists shaping the future of music.
