A young rapper has vented his frustration at the cost of living in Malta by releasing a new song.

In Count Our Change, Alex Micallef aka 3mg raps about how a carton of milk costs more than €1 and a packet of Pringles costs €4. He jokes that he needs to take a bank loan to buy snacks for a movie.

3mg released his song after posting a Reddit thread complaining about the cost of living in Malta.

“I have just graduated with a degree and now iIm getting a job. I live with my mum, and even with both of our wages there isn’t anything much above paying rent and bills that would be possible. How are you guys doing this?” he asked.
