One of the most promising and fast-emerging metal bands to have come out of Malta has now reached another milestone on their rise to fame. Align The Tide has announced that one of their songs will be featured in an upcoming Satanic horror film: Baphomet.
The Cleopatra Entertainment film is being written and directed by Matthan Harris, with Align The Tide’s new song, WELCOME TO HELL, being featured on the soundtrack.
Baphomet, which will debut on Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital in select parts of the world on 8th June, follows the Richardson family as they face off against a Satanic Cult who are intent on claiming the family’s land for an unknown yet dangerous secret that hides beneath their property.
Align The Tide has fast grown in popularity and prominence in the metal music scene since their 2015 debut, boasting a fresh take on metalcore and nu-metal that made them a unique stand-out in Malta’s music industry.
They have since gone on to sign a deal with Cleopatro’s Records, currently finishing their second release (which will be released sometime this year) and even toured the US with heavy metal band Mushroomhead.
They even will be touring Europe in 2022!
Their latest achievement with getting their song in Baphomet comes as the band’s record label, Cleopatra Records, being the parent company of Cleopatra Entertainment.
Currently, the film is only being released on 8th June in North America, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and South Africa – yet there are hopes from Align The Tide that it will eventually extend to the rest of the world, including Malta.
