Maltese NGO Aims To Raise Awareness Around Mental Health With Their Annual Concert Featuring Some Awesome Local Talent

Are you to get rocked? The Rock For Richmond annual charity concert is taking place this weekend and this year’s lineup features a whole host of local artists.
Over the past twenty-five years, the Richmond Foundation has advocated the importance of mental welfare and the prevention of mental health problems in Malta while also providing extensive professional services to this sector.
With its annual concert, the NGO hopes to raise funds for the foundation so that it can continue to support those suffering from mental health problems.
This second edition of Rock for Richmond will include a diverse lineup featuring Djun, Roza and Eddie Fresco. The event will be held at Mount Carmel Hospital, an acute mental institute in Attard.

The Richmond Foundation will be using the donations collected at the concert to help fund two additional halfway houses next year to cater to residents with high levels of anxiety and depression.
“Donations from the public and government funding are always necessary to keep us going,” said organiser Mario Vella to Times of Malta.
“The foundation will always need resources to keep refining its operation and empower the people in its care.”
You can support the Richmond foundation by attending their concert this Saturday 31st August. Tickets for the event can be bought by following the link here or at the door.
