As one of Malta’s most popular bands, Red Electrick must get a lot of fan mail. And while we’re sure it’s not the first time they received letters thanking them for their CD, this morning definitely saw a first for the Maltese band; a letter from the Prince of Wales himself!

The band had forwarded their latest album to Prince Charles when he visited the island in October to attend activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of the George Cross award. Now, it seems like the CD finally gotten to the hands of the busy Prince.

“Our album Inside You made it to the Prince of Wales!” the band announced to their 30,000-strong Facebook fanbase, continuing to say that they were honoured.

The letter, addressed to “The Band Members of Red Electrick” and clearly marked Private & Confidential, reads:

“Dear ‘Red Electrick’

The Prince of Wales has asked me to write and thank you most warmly for the delightful C.D., which you kindly presented to His Royal Highness when he visited Malta in October.

The Prince of Wales much appreciated this gesture, and this most thoughtful gift will certainly serve as a lovely memento of a greatly enjoyed visit.

His Royal Highness has asked me to convey his warm good wishes and renewd thanks.

Yours sincerely,

Scott Furssedonn-Wood” (Deputy Private Secretary for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall)
