Revealed: 20 Semifinalists Of Mużika Mużika 2023

The 20 semifinalists for this year’s edition of Mużika Mużika have been selected through the process of live auditions. 

The third edition of Mużika Mużika was positively received by Malta’s community of singers, composers and songwriters with a total of 149 applications being submitted to Festivals Malta.

In the first eliminatory phase, the submissions were evaluated by six jury members and 40 songs were shortlisted for the semifinals.

Last Sunday those that made it for the live auditions performed their songs in front of six new jury members who selected the 20 songs that will take part in the semifinals of the festival next March.

These semifinalists are listed below in alphabetical order by song name:

*According to clause 2.2 of the-Mużika Mużika 2023 Regulations, no artist can participate with more than one song in the final phase of the festival. In accordance with this clause, the singer Jade Vella will be asked to choose which song she would like to perform in the final phase. The song that is not chosen by the singer, will be assigned to another artist at the composer’s discretion.

“This year we will see several new faces and others that need no introduction. I am sure that the third edition of Mużika Mużika will offer a great spectacle,” said the Chairman of Mużika Mużika, Raymond Bugeja.

Now, the Festivals Malta team will enter the next phase of production. The festival will take place between the 23rd and 25th of March 2023.
