Singles For Your Weekend Mingles: Here Are The Latest Tracks Released By Maltese Artists Just In Time For Autumn
Statistically speaking the best time to release a record, album or single is during spring or autumn.
With that in mind, and with autumn literally around the corner, we can start to expect Maltese artists releasing a lot more music over the next few months, starting with these six awesome tracks from some of the island’s finest, up-and-coming talent.
1. Align The Tide – Sicko Mode
Malta’s premium metal act, Align The Tide, have switched gears for their latest release and have decided to do a cover of Travis Scott’s popular track ‘Sicko Mode’.
The four-piece have ventured into new territories with their latest track and have embraced the return of nu-metal by crushing this killer cover of T. Scott and Drake mashup.
2. Chirs Birdd – All Big Convo
London-based Maltese rapper Chris Birdd has had a busy 2019, having just released his fifth single of the year, All Big Convo.
Birdd’s latest track is a moderately paced tune featuring cool and contemporary hip hop beats topped with a confident Birdd flexin’ all over the track…. hence the name All Big Convo.
3. Music Boy – Lover
Music Boy has released his second original ever ‘Lover’ and it’s already giving us nostalgic summer vibes.
The summer house track is 3 minutes and 42 seconds of pure bliss and has a beat and feel reminiscent of chillstep and deep house.
4. Bark Bark Disco – Cockblock
Ian Schranz has released a new single from his one-man project Bark Bark Disco titled ‘Cockblock’, and it’s exactly about what the name implies.
A synth-driven tune reminiscent of BBD’s previous work with new wave and lo-fi elements and some strong baselines to keep the groove goin and to keep you frisky.
5. Mr Walletking – Issa vibe
Up-and-coming independent hip hop artist ‘Mr Walletking’ has released his second single featuring G Smooth from Malta and Jacob Critch from Canada.
The young artist shows some promise with this bouncy hip hop/reggaeton track, Issa Vibe.
6. Gabriella – Disclosed
Gabriella has released the follow up to last week’s track Enough with an EP titled ‘Disclosed.’
The EP features four dynamic tracks each bringing a unique and fresh perspective to Gabriella’s work, from pop-rock to indie and everything in between. ‘Disclosed’ is a showcase of Gabriella’s creative prowess condensed in 13 minutes and is a strong start to her solo career.
