Bye-bye summer, hello autumn! And while in most other European countries autumn beckons a quieter and more chilled out vibe, Malta’s Mediterranean weather means we can keep the party going around all year long.

This weekend, we welcome some new events to the mix but also welcome back the return of classics such as Frisco Disco, Trackage Scheme and the latest edition of Tenishia’s chasing sunsets.

As always, we have something happening for everyone this weekend, from punk rock to heavy metal and raves to darties; here’s how the first weekend of October is shaping up…

Friday 4th October

1. Alternative and indie night

Trackage Scheme are back with volume six of ‘A night with Indie’ featuring everyone’s favourite indie and alternative tracks brought to you by Steven Meli, Clint Spiteri, I.YOU and Ben Vincenti at Haywharf Clubhouse in Valletta.

… featuring for the first time ever Maltese-Italian supergroup Coffin Birth performing on the islands. This is gonna be a heavy one ladies and gentlemen, not only will Coffin Birth be flying over to play at The Garage but so will London-based metal act ‘No Worth Of Man’ and accompanied by local death-metallers, Bound To Prevail.

3. A rave to start the academic year

If you’ve been to Uni then you know that there is no better way to start off your uni experience other than with a Fresher’s rave… and what does ever Fresher’s rave need? Glow sticks and UV paint, of course!

4. Another season of winter madness

With summer over, everyone looks for new places to head to for their Friday fix; one of which is FACES at Shadow Club in St Julian’s featuring residents Debris & Mizzi G.
