Malta’s DJ talent is actually lowkey staggering, with Maltese DJs regularly performing all over the world in some of the biggest concerts around. But the Maltese abroad are also making waves and repping the island, and one pair of Maltese brothers may be the next duo to watch out for.

Where It’s ATT are a G-House DJ/Producer Duo from Australia, originally from Malta. Currently based in Malta and working on more music releases – including a collaboration with Maltese rock band Relikc – the duo have just signed a distribution link with Universal Music Australia and released their latest remix.

“We are brothers, born here in Malta and moved to Australia 13 years ago,” say Isaac and Daniel. “We’ve been returning over the past three years to visit and DJ around Europe. Our old friends and family are always so welcoming when we come back and we love it over here. Not to mention the Pastizzi and Kinnie are just mint.

Where It’s ATT have headlined venues in Australia, Greece, Malta and Vanuatu, and some of their releases have entered the Top 16 in the Australian Club Charts, played on mainstream radio in Australia and have even been featured on XFM 100.2 in Malta.

They’ve also had their tracks supported by some of the hottest DJs around right now, including people like Drezo and Shapeless

That said, they haven’t even been producing for that long.

“We started getting into music production around two years ago. We were originally DJs but were very interested in making music and performing it live in our sets. We then fell into the genre of G-House and we started signing to record labels at the end of last year; so far we’ve had four releases on record labels, one got released just last week actually. We’ve managed to chart in the Australian Club Charts twice too which is great,” they said.

And their latest release, ‘I Like The Way’ is being distributed by Universal Music Australia

“It’s an official G-House remix of Tyron Hapi’s track and features Liam Ferrari. We loved the original and it was actually very popular in Australia, already had something like 12 million streams on Spotify. We then heard that Tyron’s label was holding a competition to remix his track and decided to enter. Eventually we were announced as one of the winners and the track got released last week. Half of the track was actually made in Malta,” they says.

They’ve got another track coming out soon

But before that, they have only one thing on their mind.

“Going to a Maltese festa is definitely on the cards! But on a serious note we’ve got another track coming out real soon which features a singer who has collaborated with Darude (the guy who made Sandstorm). That track was actually partly written in Malta also so that’s exciting. Apart from that we’ll be DJing, one of us (Isaac) is based in Malta at the moment so he’s definitely looking to play around Malta this summer,” they said.

Apart from that, they only have one other thing to say.

“We just wanted to publicly announce that no Aussie ever in their life says ‘There’s a shark in the water’. We thought we’d clear that up with you guys while we had the chance,” they said.
