Maltese singer-songwriter and actor Clara Sciberras, recently named runner-up in Brillanti Musicals, has just released her debut single Always Be Here — a deeply personal track timed perfectly for Mother’s Day.

Inspired by the beloved children’s book Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, the song pays tribute to the enduring bond between mother and child.

Clara’s connection to Always Be Here is rooted in her own childhood, when her mother would read the story to her and softly sing a lullaby to its iconic lines:

“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always,
As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.”

“I would cry every single time,” Clara recalls. “Even as a child, I could feel the weight of those words.”

“My mother is everything to me,” she continues. “She’s the person I turn to for everything. Ever since I was young, I feared the day I’d be without her — and her lullaby always gave me a sense of reassurance. Now, those words will live on through this song.”

Years later, while studying acting in London and feeling the pangs of homesickness, Clara found herself returning to the melody her mother had once sung. She began building on it, weaving her emotions into a haunting lullaby that captures both love and the ache of separation.

The track is accompanied by a moving music video — co-directed by Clara and rising filmmaker Justin Stellini — that portrays the life cycle of a mother-daughter relationship.

Always Be Here is now available on all streaming platforms, with the official music video released on YouTube.
