WATCH: Clinton Paul Sings Inside A Church For Heavenly New Music Video
Stop what you’re doing and treat your eyes and ears to three minutes and twenty four seconds of musical gold, courtesy of Clinton Paul and Santwarju Madonna tal-?erba in Birkirkara.
All In The Eyes Of A Boy is Clinton Paul’s 26th music video to date, following masterpieces like Under The Coconut Tree and the source of “I heard a freak lives here” Rebellion (which has since been removed from the interwebs). The video was filmed inside the picturesque sanctuary of Madonna tal-?erba in Birkirkara because there’s nothing more Maltese than being emotional inside a church.
The song AITEOB (forgive me, it takes too long to type the full name out each and every single time) includes lyrics by Clinton Paul himself, arrangement by Dominic Cini and mastering by Jonas Gladnikoff from Sweden. The song is actually pretty catchy and – for my sins – has been stuck in my head for the past three hours.
But jokes aside, AITEOAB actually has a pretty touching message behind it.
The song is a religious anthem that reminds you that even when times are rough, God is there to see you through them and that “heaven is one step away”.
I’m not sure why it’s only ‘in the eyes of a boy’ (other than the fact that “boy” rhymes with “joy”) but we’ll leave that open to interpretation. After all, gender is a social construct, as Clinton Paul himself has proved so many times before.
