Emma Muscat surprised her Maltese fans with a rendition of the evergreen classic ‘Xemx’ during a performance in Valletta last night for Notte Bianca.

For the first time ever, Emma shared a stage in Malta with her boyfriend Biondo, an Italian rapper she first met while competing on the talent show Amici. Biondo’s romance with Emma during and after Amici has seen him become a household name in Malta and indeed the crowd went wild when he emerged on stage.

Emma sang songs from her debut album, including the popular numbers ‘I Need Somebody’ and ‘Fake Bitches’, as well as covers from other singers. However, it was her rendition of The Tramps’ classic ‘Xemx’ that got everyone talking, particularly as she has been panned locally for being primarily English-speaking.

“Thank you so much, you guys were amazing,” Emma said in an Instagram story uploaded after the show.
