Watch: Falling In Love With Someone Married – Kapitlu Tlettax And Julie Pomorski Release ‘Wiċċ B’Ieħor’
Maltese rap group Kapitlu Tlettax and Julie Pomorski have released a video for one of their standout tracks that debuted at Mużika Mużika, Wiċċ B’Ieħor.
Though fans were disappointed that the song wasn’t chosen for the finals, the artists knew that its journey wouldn’t end there, and the new video gives a second life to the powerful track.
“We were sure that Wiċċ B’Ieħor had a life beyond the competition” said Kapitlu Tlettax in a post to social media after the competition.
Kapitlu Tlettax is a Maltese rap group known for its emotionally raw output – and Maltese language hip-hop which never fails to strike as many emotional chords as musical ones.
Now that the song is out in the world, it has become one of their most streamed releases on Spotify with over 10,000 streams – and they’ve now released a video to match it.
Kicking off with a gentle piano melody, the song tells a story which is elevated to new heights by Julie Pomorski’s powerful vocal performance – followed by a response from Kapitlu Tlettax – as the artists sing passionately about a love affair that couldn’t be… when a married person fell in love with somebody else.
“What I feel will stay buried, because it can never be.”
The song closes with a super sweet guitar riff.
Julie Pomorski and Kapitlu Tlettax do not have any upcoming projects planned together, but after the success of this release, and their newfound friendship, they think the likelihood of a future collaboration is high.
Wiċċ B’Ieħor was composed by Joseph Mario Calleja, Edward Magri, Julie Pomorski and Cyprian Cassar, produced by Cyprian Cassar from Somnio Recording Studios, and its lyrics were written by Emil Calleja Bayliss and Joseph Mario Calleja.
