Watch: Maltese Drummer Performs In South Africa For 10,000 People

Maltese drummer Daniel Said has just smashed a headline set in South Africa for 10,000 adoring fans.

Said is currently the full-time and exclusive drummer of British artist Myles Smith and they’re on a world tour, playing for tens of thousands of screaming fans all across the globe.

Their most recent stop on the Slightly Less Lonely Tour was South Africa, headlining in both Johannesburg for ParkLive Festival and Cape Town headlining at GrandWest Arena.

“Johannesburg THIS WENT OFF! DYING to be back out here!! Till next time,” Said wrote on social media about Saturday’s concert.

Lovin Malta was able to sit down with the musician for an exclusive interview not long before he set off on tour. He opened up about the challenges, rewards, and incredible moments he’s experienced amid this dream of a journey.

Next up, the band will travel to Canada and the United States where they’re set to play over 30 shows between September and the start of November before moving on to Australia and New Zealand tour shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Auckland.

In 2025, the band will be back in the US in January before traveling to Europe for the We Were Never Strangers Tour until April.

The band also performed on the Today Show live on CBS in New York and they featured on Vevo – the world’s leading music video network for another exclusive interview.
