WATCH: Maltese Metal Band Covers Travis Scott And Drake’s Mega Hit ‘Sicko Mode’ And It Goes Hard AF
One of Malta’s most promising metal bands has just levelled up and reworked one of the biggest hip hop hits of 2018 – and it actually, like, seriously rocks.
Align The Tide has just released their version of Travis Scott and Drake’s Sicko Mode. The massive hit has been whipping up moshpits all over the world since its release, and now ATT’s cover is set to bring the banger to the metal world for the crossover we didn’t know we needed in 2019.
“We had a number of songs on our mind to cover but we decided to go for Sicko Mode as it had spent quite a while on the top charts and was interesting for us to turn into our sound and style,” drummer Danny Dalli told Lovin Malta.
The release has already gotten international coverage, getting a sweet write-up in the popular music site Metal Injection.
While there’s a strong tradition of metal bands flipping songs from other genres to great aplomb, a Drake smash hit isn’t exactly what you would expect to see.
The track comes after ATT recently signed to Cleopatra records back in April, bringing in a new era for the band after touring the USA with Mushroomhead.
Align The Tide’s upcoming album, Dead Religion, is set to be released on the 18th of October – but until then, enjoy growling along to Travis Scott’s fire verses.
