WATCH: Maltese Rapper Drops Long-Awaited Video For One Of His Biggest Singles, And It’s Hot
Eddie Fresco, one third of Maltese hip hop outfit 215 Collective, has just dropped the latest visual to his single ‘A Soul For Mine’ from his debut album.
The melancholic song details some of Fresco’s inner thoughts as he comes to terms with the loss of a special girl in his life. Speaking to Lovin Malta, Fresco said he wrote the lyrics when he realised just how blind love can make you.
“The song was inspired by events which happened over a year ago. I fell out with this girl I was seeing for a while… I thought she felt the same way at the time, but it was all in my head,” he said.
“I had very clear signs that it wasn’t serious to her, but I guess love is blind.”
“Made up stories in my mind, I was wishing you would change yours because I thought you saw it, but you didn’t”
‘A Soul For Mine’ is one of the lead singles from Eddie Fresco’s debut album
“People say that this is the catchiest and richest track from the whole EP,” Fresco said of the song, which rides on a unique indie vibe that smoothly emcompass Fresco’s deep vocals.
“Everyone seems to feel a way when listening to the song; and it’s probably because the writing is so simple yet relatable. If you’ve ever fell for someone and didn’t get same energy back, I think you’ll have this on loop for the day.”
