Watch: Maltese Twins Honour Late Father With Heartfelt Tribute ‘L-Isbaħ Stilla’ After Ta’ Qali Tragedy
Two Maltese twin sisters have unveiled their heartfelt tribute to their beloved father who tragically lost his life while working near the Ta’ Qali National Park project.
Adrian, a 40-year-old resident of Ħal Għargħur, was a father of four – and Celine and Shaian Muscat’s “L-Isbaħ Stilla” is an emotional tribute to the man who helped them become the women they are.
The siblings, known as the Adria Twins, found solace in music following this tragedy. Their father’s untimely death served as a turning point, reigniting their passion for music. In response to the void left by the loss, they created the touching and heartfelt song “L-Isbaħ Stilla” (The Most Beautiful Star).
The musical journey of the twins did not begin now; it dates back to when they were just 10 years old, participating in the Maltese Song Festival (L-Għanja tal-Maltin) with their song “Lehen Ta’ Tnejn.”
In 2015, they ventured into the Italian music scene, participating in the television festival “Tra Sogno e Realta” broadcasted on Mediaset Infinity. This experience opened new doors in their career, and a year later, they won the Tifħira Lil Malta festival with the original song “Kuntrasti” (Contrasts).
However, the tragedy that affected their father’s life prompted the siblings to take a break from music. Now, they are returning with their latest track, considering it a proper way to honour their father’s memory and mark a new chapter in their musical journey.
L-Isbaħ Stilla is composed by Shaun Farrugia, with lyrics by Shaun Farrugia and Christabelle Camilleri. The music video is produced and directed by Steven Levi Vella.
