Watch: Muxu Unboxes His Book Ahead Of “Beautifully Lost” Album Launch
Muxu captured the special moment of unboxing his book with his mother ahead of the launch of his “Beautifully Lost” album on 13th November.
“Pansy’s (Mum’s) and my first reaction to seeing the book, something I’ve been working on with her love and support for the past five years,” wrote Muxu on social media.
Muxu unveiled “Beautifully Lost”-a unique project combining a book and an accompanying album, blending the worlds of literature and music into one immersive experience.
“I’ve always loved telling stories, and as a songwriter I got to live my life through words,” Muxu said. “Beautifully Lost” is the culmination of five years of work and a deeply personal journey.”
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the project, the artist shared that he spent so many years feeling like he didn’t belong anywhere: always a step behind and trying my hardest to prove I was enough.
Following a year of heavy drinking, partying and drug use, he decided to take a trip to discover his purpose and nine years later, that journey brought him to this book.
The project is described as a meditation on listening to one’s inner voice in a world that encourages following a set path. “This is me listening to my soul and following my dreams to create art that matters to me,” Muxu explained.
Having his own album has been a lifelong dream. “My mother says there are videos of me in my nappy speaking about this. The thought of one day being on my deathbed, and realising I never did it, made me sad- so here I am, making sure that feeling never happens,” the artist said.
