WATCH: South End Core Just Dropped Malta’s First Football Anthem Since The 1980s

The year was 2007. Malta had just managed to secure a 2-2 draw against the Turkish football team in a match that resembled the victory over the Ottomans at the Great Siege back in 1565. A group of Maltese football fanatics roared in support and pride… and very soon after became the Malta South End Core – the team’s real stans.

They’ve had enough of the lack of enthusiasm for sports in Malta, and to combat this, have put together Malta’s first sporting anthem since Benny and Tonia’s 1980s efforts

The track hopes to serve as a motivator for both the players and the crowds of fans cheering them on, for any sporting event that Malta partakes in

Ahead of next month’s match against Sweden, the song will serve as a crowd riling effort for the team, but the South End Core wish for the song to be much more than just another football hooligan chant.
