Maltese songwriting powerhouse ‘The New Victorians’ hit the BBC stage with their single ‘Lie Liar’ yesterday night.

Performing on BBC Scotland’s Edinburgh Show, the pair visited the studio ahead of two theatre productions in the city.

Readers are probably familiar with the single after it topped the local charts in 2018. The band exploded onto the local music scene a couple of years ago with their unique tone and blended harmonies.

When they’re not busy with ‘The New Victorians’, singing sisters Bettina and Philippa have also made waves in the theatre scene with productions ’Sette’ and ‘Mara’ receiving rave reviews.
