A young Maltese man’s dreams came true when his band’s new single premiered on BBC earlier this week.

Sheffield-based indie-pop band Bayonet released a new song Call Me When It’s Over, which comes complete with a video full of pink neon and summer vibes ahead of the warmer seasons. The song premiered on BBC Introducing Sheffield and is up on Spotify and all over social media.

Bayonet is fronted by Vince Ringrose, a Maltese singer and guitarist who moved to the UK with the hopes of reaching a larger audience. Having their new single released through a British independent record label and premiering on BBC, Bayonet might definitely be onto something. “Today, our new track has been put on the Spotify lists ‘Hot New Bands’ and ‘The Indie List’. Apparently, dreams can come true,” Vince confessed on Facebook earlier today.

And who knows? Maybe Vince Ringrose is the answer to Harry Styles that Malta has needed all along.
