WATCH: Young Maltese Singer Slays Challenge To Make It Into The Amici Show

Eighteen-year-old Maltese singer and pianist Emma Muscat wowed judges last night to qualify to the final stage of the popular Italian talent show Amici.

Emma Muscat had auditioned for the show last month but wasn’t chosen, a decision that didn’t go down well with several people. Last night, the Amici producers – in true reality TV style – decided to give her another chance and pit her against another singer who had already qualified.

And Emma grasped the second opportunity with both hands, belting out a rendition of Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” which wowed the audience and the judges and saw her make it into the Amici house.

In Amici, a group of young artists live with each other inside a house under constant surveillance and compete against each other in singing, acting and dancing. Contestants are voted off the show one by one every week, until one final talented act is left standing.

It is aired on Canale 5 from Monday to Friday in the afternoon and on Saturday in the evening.
