X Factor UK Winner Flying Down To Malta To Perform At Qormi Festa

A husky voice propelled Ben Haenow to the top of X Factor’s 2014 competition, and now it’s earned him a spot on the Qormi main stage for the San Bastjan’s festa. Oh, and the concert is completely free!

The British singer, who started his career as a van driver, won over audiences from across the UK, scoring top votes for six weeks straight. In December 2014, he was crowned the winner of the show’s 11th season.

Ben Haenow Final

Best known for his cover of One Republic’s Something I Need and his duet with Kelly Clarkson, Haenow will be in Malta to sing together with Soċjetà Filarmonika Pinto Banda San Sebastjan.

One of the first local bands, the society was started over 150 years ago, way back in 1862.

Last year’s festa saw Eurovision winner Ruslana fly down from Ukraine for a wild (dancer) performance in front of local crowds.

It seems talent show winners are consistently on the radar for San Bastjan’s organising committee – so we’re excited to see Jinkx Monsoon take to the stage in 2019.
