If you’ve recently logged onto the popular classifieds website MaltaPark and been frightened by a page you weren’t expecting: don’t worry. You don’t have some weird performance-enhancing virus, they’ve just revamped their page.
That’s right, the website we’ve all grown to love as a time capsule from the early 2000s has a brand new look, and we’re not sure how we feel about it.
The new page is completely aware of the users’ potential shock and has even included a tutorial explaining how everything works.
And just to make sure they prove they 100% get their audience, they left an old version of their site online, and it’s perfectly usable too. If you’re scared to step into the future, all you have to do is add “old.” before “maltapark.com” – simple.
Users on social media were split in their reactions, but one uniting factor remains shock at the sudden change. Some praised the much-delayed step into the 21st century, while others were so bold as to call it the “gentrification of the internet as we know it”.
