A family is appealing for help in locating their missing cat, Crackers, who disappeared after a car accident near Kappara Junction on Thursday, 11th September. They are offering a €2,500 reward for his safe return.

Crackers, a large orange male cat with a white underside, jumped into dense bamboo and bushes below the road following the accident. Despite extensive searches across the University area, Ta’ Qroqq Gym, and the Kappara Valley, where stray cats are often seen, he has not yet been found.

The search has been challenging due to the thick vegetation in the area. The family is asking for assistance from the public, particularly from anyone with a dog that could help track him, or from drone operators who could help survey the valley.

Described as very timid, Crackers is likely to run away if approached. His owners are urging anyone who spots him not to chase, but instead to contact them immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to call 79538701 or 77257256.

“Every share could help bring him home safely,” the family said in their public appeal.
