Chance, the terminally ill dog that never experienced a loving home until just a few months ago, has passed away.

After enduring a tough and lonely life, Chance finally found a home, but his illness was too much to bear and after five months, he passed away.

His owners took to Facebook to announce the sad news.

“Chance has gone to pee on the great lamppost in the sky,” Daniel Dean Kingswell said on Facebook.

“RIP Chance you were a force of nature, and you taught me a lot in the four to five months you were in my life,” he said.

Chance was only given a few months to live, but from the look on his face in the photos uploaded – he was cherishing every moment of it.

Thanks to his new owners, Chance got to spend his final moments in the comfort of a loving home – the best any dog could ask for.
