Curious Minds And Wagging Tails: Easter Adventure Welcomes Families And Pets At Esplora
The Paws and Claws Easter Adventure is set to offer a one-of-a-kind experience for families – and for the first time, their beloved pets are also invited!
This exciting event will take place at the Esplora Interactive Science Centre in Kalkara on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April 2025.
Organised by Esplora on behalf of Science Malta, the initiative brings together science, technology and education with the joy animals bring. The event will include interactive activities such as science shows and, with the participation of over 20 local animal-related collaborators, visitors will have the chance to meet exotic creatures like reptiles and snakes, among others.
“Events like this help ignite curiosity in visitors’ minds while highlighting the importance of animals, biodiversity and sustainability. We are committed to fully supporting Esplora in its mission to educate and inspire,” Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal Rights, Anton Refalo, remarked.
“Esplora continues to innovate with engaging educational events that foster curiosity, creativity and empathy. We look forward to seeing the community come together for this wonderful experience – a true testament to how STEM education can be both enjoyable and impactful,” Parliamentary Secretary for Youth, Research and Innovation, Keith Azzopardi Tanti, said praising this initiative.
A special feature of the event is the Adoption Corner, where families can meet animals in need of a loving new home. This initiative aims to promote awareness about responsible pet ownership and nurture empathy in children.
James Catania, Director of Esplora, highlighted how the event will create an immersive experience that combines science with learning and the joy of animals. “This event not only brings families together for fun but also offers children the chance to learn through hands-on animal encounters, meet vets and gain valuable insights into animal care,” he concluded.
