Dog Lost Around Dingli Ends Up On Children’s School Bus To St Paul’s Bay
A dog that ended up lost around the area of Dingli ended up jumping aboard a children’s school bus on the way to St Paul’s Bay yesterday afternoon.
The male dog then got off the bus next to a popular toy centre in Triq San Pawl, one of the children’s mother said on social media while sharing a photo of the dog.
“This lost dog got on my daughter’s school bus at some point between Dingli and St Paul’s Bay. Please contact the owner if you happen to recognise the dog!” the mother appealed.
This morning, a St Paul’s Bay resident found the dog and uploaded a photo of it after taking it into their home. However, they quickly announced they would not be able to keep it for longer than a day, due to instructions from the landlord.
This is where environmental activist and ranger Cami Appelgren stepped in, offering to foster the dog until the owner is found.
“I will foster it until the owner is found. I’m going for it now and will drive around Dingli to look for the owner. Ranger duty is always interesting,” Appelgren told Lovin Malta.
The HPF Ranger Unit also uploaded a Facebook post, showing the dog together with Appelgren after she picked him up, appealing to the public to help find the dog’s owner.
“The dog is male, not neutered, has a brown collar, not chipped, not tagged, and in good health,” the Rangers said on social media.
“Please call Ranger on 79378118 if you have any information about this dog.”
