Fifth Turtle Nest Confirmed At Ramla L-Ħamra beach In Gozo
The fifth turtle nest has been confirmed at Ramla l-Ħamra beach in Gozo.
“Once the nest was laid, a microchip check identified the turtle as Johanna hence making this her third nest this season,” wrote the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA).
The turtle was spotted around 2am in the night between 14th and 15th July by Nature Trust volunteers while they patrolled near the nest area.

ERA and Nature Trust went onsite immediately to confirm the sighting and to protect the turtle.
The public is urged to contact ERA on 22923500 or Nature Trust on 99999505 if a turtle or a nest is spotted.
