Maltese Pomeranian Gets A Second Chance At Life With Loving New Family

It was a gloomy Monday morning when little Olly was taken out of his old home for the first time in two years. The family he was with didn’t seem to bothered by him leaving, but he was scared to take the first step.

Olly’s story first came to light on a Facebook group popular with pet lovers. His ‘recur’, Wendy, took to RUBS Puppy Love to share his exciting new journey.

After getting his first vaccinations at a generous vet and having all the treats his heart could desire at a friendly pet shop, Olly was already starting to look and act like a whole new dog.

Within a few hours of being taken out of the home where he stayed, unloved, for years, the young Pomeranian already had several requests from would-be owners to adopt him.

It didn’t take Wendy long to find the perfect fit. A loving family, who already had a Pomeranian of their own instantly fell in love with little Olly (it’s hard to imagine anyone who wouldn’t love that face), and the two dogs instantly got along swimmingly.

While his new home still needs to be confirmed as his comfort in his new space is the number one priority, it’s so exciting to see that he will never be spending another night waiting for someone to visit him on the roof. That he’ll have a family to love and a treat always waiting.

Animal rights in Malta need a lot of work, but it’s encouraging to see people like Wendy, as well as this kind adoptive family, who are willing to go the extra mile to help these pets.
