MCAST Mosta Students Leave Hilarious Reactions After Seeing Beloved Cat’s Routine Grooming
The official Instagram fan page for the MCAST Mosta cat, Bruce, shared photos of the college icon’s fresh new trim, prompting some pretty shocked (and hilarious) reactions.
A lot of students, old and new, commented on his “clean shave”, with some even saying that he’s celebrating Halloween early, dressing up as a lion, an accurate getup for such a legendary cat.
But, with the scholastic year only having started, a lot of newcomers are gobsmacked by this sudden lack of fluffiness from the famous kitty. On a similar post by satirical page @onlyatmcastmosta, commenters expressed their surprise, with many even saying they didn’t expect him to be so slim under all his fur.
Despite the shock, it’s important to note that this trim is a routine occurrence, as no matter how much everyone loves Bruce’s fluff, sometimes it can get matted, earning him a bit of well-deserved grooming and self care.
Bruce often hangs around the premises but apart from loitering, he’s known to provide emotional support for students in need on many occasions. Even rarely however, Bruce as well as other fellow kitties that reside on the school grounds might even bless classrooms with their presence.
Current lecturers at the college even recall that they remember him roaming the halls of the college while they themselves were still students there.
“Bruce is the true face of ICA, the mascot of our satellite college and the fluffiest of cat loaves,” said lecturer Audrienne Degiorgio, “I still remember the first few times I met him, where he would just flop on his back for all the belly rubs. Not just mine, but any hand that presented itself to him, as he’s comfortable by all people, staff and students alike ”
The beloved cat remains an icon at the Mosta college, but with many new students enrolling every year and his growing social media presence, Bruce might be on the way to nationwide stardom.
