‘Our Hearts Are Sick & Sore’: Malta’s AAA Laments Another Dog Shot
Once again Malta’s animal community has been shocked and pained with another dog being shot.
The Association for Abandoned Animals took to their socials sharing a series of upsetting images of a poor dog named Snoops, covered in blood and wounds.
“And another dog shot… Our hearts are sick and sore,” they wrote. “This happened a little over a week ago and the dog is ok and in recovery in AAA sanctuary.”

The X-Ray shows a number of pellets all over the dogs body. It has been reported that he is since doing well and in recovery at the AAA sanctuary.
In a follow up post, the Association shared a video of Snoops laying on a mattress, shaking in agony.
“There is no hope for animals in this country,” the captioned it.
Just last week, a Pharaoh Hound/Fox Terrier mix named Bobby was discovered with severe injuries from being shot at close-range with lead pellets.
PN MP Janice Chetcuti shared a video to Facebook stating this behaviour should not be the standard, and random inspections should be carried out to ensure that individuals who haven’t microchipped their dogs can be penalised.
Do you think Malta needs stricter enforcement when it comes to such cases?
