Petition To Relocate Mediterraneo Dolphins Surpasses 4,000 Signatures In Days

Public pressure continues to mount following recent report on the dire conditions faced by dolphins at Mediterraneo Marine Park. Since footage of the mammals swimming in circles inside a murky, confined tank surfaced online, the petition calling for their relocation to a coastal sanctuary has gained significant traction.
Launched by Eva Galea Sammut on 16th June, the petition had already gathered over 630 signatures within its first 18 hours. Now, just a few days later, that number has surged past 4,300, reflecting growing concern over the welfare of the dolphins and renewed calls for action.

The petition argues that the facility fails to meet the physical and psychological needs of these highly intelligent animals and urges authorities to take immediate steps toward a more ethical, conservation-focused solution.
While the petition has not been submitted through official parliamentary channels, the overwhelming response underscores a clear demand for change.
