Watch: Rat Infestation Hits Madliena As Dozens Spotted By The Roadside
Madliena has been hit by an infestation of rats with dozens trying to jump into a tank, footage sent to Lovin Malta shows.
The roadside is also plagued with dead rats, a concerned resident told the newsroom.
Residents have repeatedly complained of illegal dumping, including fridges and freezers with food, which seems to be the cause of this unhygienic infestation which has been ongoing for days. The tank featured in the video is said to contain food and it is presumably being covered to ward off the rodents.
Lovin Malta has reached out to the Swieqi Local Council for a comment.
