Siġġiewi Woman Pledges To Find And Kill Dogs That Repeatedly Broke Into Her Farm And Killed Her Pets

A woman who has woken up on multiple occasions to find her pet rabbits mauled and killed has taken to Facebook to pledge vengeance for her pets.

“Last night dogs broke onto my farm and killed my animals,” the woman, who lives in Siġgiewi, said on a popular Facebook forum. “How can anyone go to bed without knowing where their dogs are? I’m so angry and upset, please note that the animals were my pets!”

Clearly in an emotional state, the woman pledged to find and kill any dogs – be they collared or not – she sees roaming her neighbourhood.

“Please spread the word for me that if I see any dogs roaming about my area of Siġġiewi, with or without a collar, I will kill them myself. After all if it’s not loved then it won’t be missed. So if you don’t want to lose your dogs, don’t let them out of sight at night,” she said.

People were quick to tell her that “two wrongs don’t make a right” but she pointed out that this is not the first time this happened to her pets.

“I know it’s not the dogs fault bla bla bla but this is the second time it’s happened to me and from now on I will handle the situation my way,” she said. “Oh, and I’ve made a police report so if I find the owner he’s in deep shit!”

Some people said they had seen a pack of stray dogs roaming the area, while another person wondered if it could be dogs that have an owner.

However, most people were in agreement that maybe she shouldn’t just kill any dog she comes across, and focus instead on securing her pets’ home.

“I’m sorry about your animals but saying you’ll kill a dog just because he is roaming around is utter nonsense,” said one person. “I’ve rescued stray dogs in the past who weren’t ‘loved’ but it doesn’t mean they don’t know how to show love. All the ones I rescued are now homed so don’t assume every stray would do such a thing and even if they do it’s in their instinct unfortunately.

“Next time add a better enclosure since your animals are your responsibility.”
