WATCH: Pod Of Dolphins Join Patrol Boat On Sunset Voyage Off The Coast Of Gozo

What once was a rare sight has now turned into a common occurrence as dolphins are being spotted daily around the Maltese islands.

In the latest video, dolphins can be seen making their way to a patrol boat off the coast of Gozo on Sunday evening and swimming parallel with the boat before disappearing into the deep blue.

The mammals snug up side-by-side with the boat and put on a bit of a show for the people on board before darting away.

The quiet seas of the Mediterranean brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic have been a breath of fresh air for marine life which has reclaimed the waters that once belonged to them.

Dolphins have been regaining their trust in humanity as the seas calmed down from boating activity and even ventured as far as into the Grand Harbour and Sliema creek for the first time in years.

Let’s hope that they continue to pay us a visit and make our day even when this pandemic is over.
