Watch: Second Turtle Nest Sees 35 Hatchlings Make Their Way To Sea In Golden Bay

Another turtle nest has just celebrating 35 new hatchlings making their way to the sea in Golden Bay.

Nest 2 was discovered at Riviera Bay on 1st July a day before a severe storm hit the Maltese Islands leading to it being relocated to Golden Bay for safety.

Last night, the Wildlife Rescue Team at about 9pm saw that the hatchlings were about to merge after five days of signs that the process was about to start after 50 days of incubation.

A total of 35 turtles made their way to the sea in a period of three hours as the nest continues to be monitored over the next few days.
