Something Huge Is Going Down In Żebbuġ This Weekend

A massive, 13-meter-high and 60-meter-wide arch has just appeared in the fields on the outskirts of Ħaż-Żebbuġ, and no, it’s not a UFO. The structure was built ahead of this weekend’s feast of Saint Philip of Agira, one which is famous for its annual impressive firework displays.

The St. Philip’s Fireworks Factory is one of the most popular of its kind on the island, always managing to surprise attendees of the weekend’s festivities. Synchronising impressive fireworks to popular songs is something they excel at, and the art has been perfected over the years.

This year, their show Pyro Rhapsody will be lit up from the giant metal structure on the eve of the holiday, this Saturday night, at 9.30pm. St. Philip’s Fireworks Factory has promised that this will be like nothing the country has ever seen before.

The band club taking care of the weekend celebrations posted a video explaining how to get to the venue.

UPDATE: Check out this awesome video which was just released showing behind the scenes footage from the preparation of the huge structure, along with what went down during the weekend of Żebbuġ’s festivities.
