Ella Fenech Attard is bringing her gold medal back to Malta after beating out hundreds of competitors to win the 400-metre Freestyle in Bulgaria.

During the Sharks Swimming Cup held in Burgas, Bulgaria, Fenech Attard not only nabbed gold but also silver in the 200-metre Freestyle and 100-metre Butterfly races – and another bronze in the 100-metre Freestyle.

“While breaking her personal best records in all instances, Ella, who’s just 12-years-old, competed against 873 international swimming athletes,” her team said after the big win.

The Sharks Swimming Cup event was held between the 23rd and 26th February.

Ella posted some snaps from the podium, saying: “took the win”.

These latest wins come after Ella broke three national swimming age records in an international competition in Germany at the tail-end of 2022.
