Sebastian Cassar Torregiani, a 22-year-old Maltese midfielder, has just completed a very successful season in Scotland with Stirling University FC.

The team won a closely fought final in the Queen’s Park Shield against Edinburgh Napier with the score of 2-1 on 9th April. This prestigious competition has been in existence for over 100 years.

The University of Stirling’s football team is the only university football team ever to have kept going in the Scottish FA Knockout until they were ousted by Premier League club Dundee United.

Torregiani, formerly of Luxol St Andrews, has now completed his commitments in Scotland and intends to continue developing his career in Malta for the forthcoming season.
