A Thorn In Sergio Ramos’ Side? Malta Ruins Superstar Footballer’s Otherwise Perfect 10-Match Run
Malta may not have the best football team in the world but it sure is good enough to stop one of the best players ever from scoring!
According to Bleacher Report Football, Spanish national and Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos has scored in nine of his ten last games for Spain.
The only team he didn’t score against was… Malta.
The football legend with two Euro titles, four Champions League cup, and one World Cup, seemed to have a tough time against our boys in red, who denied Ramos from a goal during their matchup earlier this year.
The Spanish defender managed to score against the likes of England, Croatia and Sweden, but it was Malta’s stellar defense that stopped him in his tracks.
Despite this awesome accomplishment, Malta lost to Spain 2-0 when they met back in February this year.
Ramos is generally considered to be one of the best defenders of our generation and for Malta to put a dent in his statistics is definitely something worth gloating about!
