Dillon Cassar Smashes Personal Best In Valencia Half Marathon
Maltese long-distance runner Dillon Cassar has achieved a stunning new personal best at the Valencia Half Marathon, clocking in at 65 minutes and 43 seconds, the second-fastest Maltese time of all time.
Out of more than 29,600 runners, Cassar finished an impressive 64th overall, cementing his reputation as one of Malta’s top endurance athletes.
“Came here not to play it safe, but to chase a PB… and we did it!” Cassar wrote after the race, describing how he pushed through challenging wind conditions to secure the milestone.

The Żurrieq Wolves AC runner also set a new club record, and thanked his coach, family, and sponsors for their continued support.
“Running may look like a solo sport,” he said, “but it truly takes a team behind the scenes.”
The performance adds another major highlight to Cassar’s growing career, proving once again that hard work, patience, and belief can take Maltese athletes to international heights.
