Fabio Spiteri Conquers 2,260km Ultra Triathlon And Smashes National Record

Maltese ultra-athlete Fabio Spiteri completed a major endurance challenge, finishing in second place at the Bretzel Ultra Deco Triathlon in Colmar, France.

Fabio swam 38km, biked 1,800km and ran 422km, for a total of 2,260km – ten times the length of a traditional Ironman race.

He completed it in 233 hours, 10 minutes and 25 seconds, placing him second overall, behind only France’s Goulwenn Tristant.

Fabio also smashed his own national record that he had set at this triathlon in Lake Garda last year by over 31 hours.
