Fabio Spiteri Finishes Second In Deca Taiwan Despite Typhoon And Travel Woes

Fabio Spiteri landed second overall and first in his age group in 228 hours at the Deca Taiwan competition.

That translates into a 38-kilometre swim, 1800 kilometres of cycling and 422 kilometres running in 9.5 days with just three hours of sleep every day.

“Not even the typhoon in Taiwan or the passport problem in Istanbul stopped me from getting a podium for Malta at Deca Taiwan,” wrote Spiteri on social media, after a rocky start to the competition.

Spiteri went on to thank to thank masseur Philip Cachia for his support as well as his sponsors for their support throughout the journey.
