Filipino-Based Spartan Malta Volleyball Team Bring Home 1st Runner-Up Title From Switzerland Games

The Filipino-based Spartans Malta volleyball team brought back home the 1st runner-up title from the Inter Europe Geneva, Switzerland.

Spartans Malta once again has proven their strong will, passion, and dedication to the love of Volleyball and their beloved country, Malta.

The local league champions ended their campaign in The Inter Europe Geneva, Switzerland, and brought home the 1st Runner Up title. It was joined by different countries in Europe, organised by the Filipino Sporting Community Association of Geneva, Switzerland.

Playing against El Supreme, the 2nd team of Switzerland. Spartan Malta successfully finished the game with a score of 20-14 20- 09 making it two wins and no loss for Team Malta.

The next game for elimination was with Team Sweden which Spartan Malta emerges victorious and the last game for elimination was with Team Rome, Italy which was tagged the most anticipated game for elimination.

Spartan Malta emerges victorious giving them the ticket to Semi-Finals with the standing of four wins and zero losses.

The Semi-Finals bout was with Team Madrid, Spain, a game where Spartans Malta displayed resilience and teamwork and making them a winner and rank no. 1 with zero losses for the whole league and also a ticket to the championship game.

The Championship game started at around 10pm vs. Team Rome, Italy once again as they successfully worked their way to the top by defeating D’Clan from London, UK.

The game was dominated by Team Rome on the 1st set, and Team Malta Bounce their way back on the 2nd set, the 3rd, and the decision set is quite stressful as it is a race to 15 points, but with the determination of both teams to win, it was tied and extended several times up until an 18-20 score in favor of Team Rome, Italy.

Team Rome finally bagged the trophy, with Malta coming first runner-up.
